Arizona Financial Credit Union recently kicked off its 90th anniversary year with a valley-wide day of service, bringing together more than 100 employees, family members and community partners to support two local nonprofit organizations through hands-on volunteer projects.
In partnership with HandsOn Greater Phoenix and Arizona Financial Foundation, credit union volunteers dedicated the morning of April 14 to beautification and improvement efforts at the YWCA in Glendale and a domestic violence shelter operated by A New Leaf in Apache Junction. The initiative reflects Arizona Financial’s commitment to strengthening Arizona communities through volunteerism, nonprofit partnerships and charitable giving, according to a release.
“At Arizona Financial, our 90-year legacy is rooted in people helping people,” said Amy Hysell, President and CEO of Arizona Financial Credit Union. “Founded in 1936 to serve municipal employees and first responders, we have been deeply connected to our communities since day one. This day of service is a reflection of who we are, not just a financial institution, but a community partner committed to making a meaningful, lasting impact.”
