The Apache Junction Police Department is participating in three regional law-enforcement task forces or teams — the Vehicle Theft Task Force, Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission and the East Valley Child Abduction Response Team.
The Apache Junction City Council voted unanimously Aug. 4 to approve a consent agenda including resolutions authorizing intergovernmental agreements for AJPD’s participation in the three.
The agreements are renewals of established partnerships with the three organizations, AJPD Lt. Thomas Parker of the criminal investigations division said at a July 21 council meeting.
