Apache Junction district accepts high school principal’s resignation

Lisa Ginn has resigned as principal at Apache Junction High School after staff at the school, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive, on July 27 were surprised to learn she had cleaned out her office.

The school district announced Ginn as AJHS principal in July 2023, saying she began as a science teacher at Tempe High School, where she worked 14 years. She also worked five years as the principal for grades 7-12 at Eduprize Charter School in Gilbert.

Her resignation was accepted in a 4-1 vote Aug. 12 by the Apache Junction Unified School District governing board, with board member Sandra Leen dissenting.
