Annual Earth Day celebration, ladybug release April 6 in Apache Junction

Posted

Bring the whole family to Horizon Health and Wellness’s Earth Heart Park, 625 N. Plaza Drive in Apache Junction, on Saturday, April 6, for the annual Earth Day celebration and ladybug release.

The 9 a.m.-1 p.m. event is to be packed with activities for the whole family such as arts and crafts, face painters, inflatables, seed planting, garden education, and of course the releasing of ladybugs.

There will also be artisans and wellness vendors selling a variety of items to promote health and joyfulness, as well as food vendors.

Horizon Health and Wellness is hosting an open house and invites the community to come and learn more about the primary care and behavioral health services provided at its facility.

There will be free veggie and fruit samples — come early, as they are first come, first served.

Frontier Ace Hardware is to provide the ladybugs to release in the Earth Heart Park Community Garden. Everyone is invited to help release them beginning at 9:30 a.m. There are plenty of ladybugs so come anytime throughout the event.

Event sponsors include Arizona Complete Health, Banner Medicare Advantage and Kabat’s Ace Hardware.

There will be vendors with items for purchase, however attractions, ladybug release, food samples and so much more are free.

Interested in being a vendor? Email Tiffany Chavez at tiffany.chavez@hhwaz.org.
