The fifth annual AJ Kids Idol is Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Apache Junction Performing Arts Center.
“Come witness Apache Junction’s greatest talent; our kids perform their hearts out as they compete to be this year’s AJ Kids Idol,” according to a release.
There will be acting, singing, dancing, musicians, bands, multi-person acts, comedy and more, according to an event poster.
The cost for entry is $5 per person. The event is 5-8 p.m. Jan. 30 at the PAC at Apache Junction High School, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive. Celebrity judges are Apache Junction Mayor Chip Wilson, Apache Junction Unified School District Superintendent Heather Wallace, Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Director Liz Langenbach and Superstition Fire and Medical District Chief John Whitney.
“Special thanks to Apache Junction Unified School District for opening up the Performing Arts Center to us for this year’s competition,” the release states. “We have some amazing talent this year and can’t wait to showcase what our kids can do. We hope to see you there.”
