A request to authorize the submission of a grant application by A New Leaf for $10,000 for a rapid re-housing program was approved recently by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.
The board voted 4-0 July 1 on a consent agenda with other items to approve a resolution seeking the funding from the Ak Chin Indian Community Shared Revenue Program and for Pinal County to serve as the fiscal agent. Supervisor Stephen Q. Miller was absent.
The funding would provide essential living kits to households served by A New Leaf’s rapid rehousing and tenant-based rental assistance programs in Pinal County, wrote Paula Kipp, senior private grants manager for A New Leaf, a Mesa nonprofit, in an application for the funds.
