622 homes planned in Radiance at Superstition Vistas

Final plats for 622 homes planned in four housing subdivisions in an Apache Junction community called Radiance were recently approved for developer D.R. Horton.

The Apache Junction City Council on Jan. 17 voted unanimously in a consent agenda with other items to approve the plats and a map of dedication for Solina Avenue in the auction property in Superstition Vistas.

Jose Castillo II of D.R. Horton is the applicant. D.R. Horton is the owner.

The preliminary plats were administratively approved by staff in a subdivision committee, Sidney Urias, principal planner and interim planning manager, said in a memo to the council.

“Most recently, D.R. Horton has submitted final plats for Parcels 19.3, 19.4, 19.6, 19.7, 19.10 and 19.11. Staff has found the final plats and proposed map of dedication to be in conformance with the preliminary plat, the auction property at Superstition Vistas master planned community plan and the Superstition Vistas master infrastructure reports,” he said.

“The applicant is requesting approval of a map of dedication for Solina Avenue – Phase 1B. Solina Avenue will serve as east-west midsection road for Section 19. The proposed road improvements will be constructed with the first phase of construction,” it states.

The final plats, according to the City Council packet, are for:

  • Phase 1B – Parcel 19.3 for a 117-lot residential subdivision of approximately 30 acres zoned master planned community near the northeast corner of Ray Road and Reverence Road.
  • Phase 1B – Parcel 19.4 for a 162-lot residential subdivision of approximately 33 acres zoned master planned community near the northeast corner of Ray Road and Grand Drive.
  • Phase 1B – Parcels 19.6 and 19.7 for a 204-lot residential subdivision of approximately 50 acres zoned master planned community near the southwest corner of Solina Avenue and Ironwood Drive.
  • Phase 1B – Parcels 19.10 and 19.11 for a 139-lot residential subdivision of approximately 42 acres zoned master planned community near the southeast corner of Solina Avenue and Reverence Road.
