Apache Junction Mounted Rangers Peter Heck, Lori Zeman and Renee Shutts met Nov. 16 with Natalie Clement, principal at Peralta Trail Elementary School, and presented her with a check for $1,500 for curb and wood chips for a new special-needs park.

"It looked so beautiful. Earlier in the day the park's wood chips were spread by a lot of volunteers including Apache Junction Mounted Ranger Lori Zeman," according to a release.
