Rescue crews recover body from Tempe Town Lake

Posted

The body of a man who fell in Tempe Town Lake on Sunday night has been recovered, and police said they consider  his death to be accidental.

Another man was rescued from the lake after police and rescue workers arrived about 11:50 p.m. May 14, but his friend did not resurface, authorities said.

His body was found Monday afternoon by personnel with the Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue Department.

“At this time, this incident will be documented but for informational purposes. We don't have a crime established at this time as this incident has been found as accidental,” Tempe police said in a statement.
