Valley residents will have the chance Saturday to get behind the wheel or ride as a passenger of an electric vehicle.

The EV Ride & Drive event will take place 8 a.m. to noon April 27 at the Salt River Project administration building, 1500 N. Mill Ave.

The no-cost event allows people to ride or drive a 2.8-mile route in different EV models – from Rivians and Teslas to a Ford F-150 Lightning, according to a release.

To drive a vehicle register: https://driveelectricearthmonth.org/event?eventid=4261, provide a valid driver’s license and sign an electronic waiver.

Any passengers are also required to sign the waiver.
