Learn how to safely see the sun at Peoria workshops

The West Valley Astronomy Club has two special “Sun Parties” planned at both Peoria public libraries this week.

Learn techniques for safe sun viewing, just in time for the total eclipse on Monday, April 8.

Participants will look at the sun through special “sun filters” of high-grade telescopes. Attendees will receive one pair of solar eclipse glasses per family for attending this program.

Come take part at Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St., Tuesday, March 19, 10-11 a.m. or Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Ave., Saturday, March 23, 10-11 a,m.
