Charles, 87, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Charles, known as “Charlie” to his loved ones, was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Charlie served in the US Navy and had a successful career spanning many years in the automotive industry. Charlie most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a sports enthusiast and a longtime member of the Elks along with his wife, Earline. Charlie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earline; his daughters, Susan Black (Monty) of Boise, Idaho and Sharon Shriver of Kansas City, Missouri; son, Charles R. ‘Chip’ Shriver, Jr. of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Barbara Caviness of Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be deeply missed. In honor of Charlie’s memory, donations may be made to Hospice of The Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
