The Arizona Department of Transportation is updating two of its safety plans and will have its first public meeting about them Tuesday night in Phoenix.
The Strategic Highway Safety Plan and Active Transportation Safety Action Plan will identify strategies for reducing fatalities and serious injuries by 20% for all users, whether driving, biking or walking, ADOT officials said.
Today’s meeting will take place 5:30-7 p.m. April 30 in the Copper Room at Gateway Community College Washington Campus, 108 N. 40th St., Phoenix.
