CASA presents gifts to foster children for holiday
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
Scottsdale-based nonprofit Voices for CASA Children recently hosted its annual Jingle & Mingle event.
Providing a plethora of holiday presents to children in the foster care system, there were 238 Court Appointed Special Advocates who attended the gala to represent about 500 foster children, according to a press release.
The CASAs, who are assigned to foster children as an advocate for the child while living in out-of-home-care, selected gifts to present to their CASA kids for the holiday season, the release noted.
The presents were gathered through the Voices Toy Drive, crediting the drive's success to the nonprofit’s local partners including Mountainside Fitness, Eutopia Fitness & Dance, Tantrum Hair Salon and BURN Total Body Conditioning, the release said.
