Artists of all ages were invited to submit original artwork to decorate utility boxes around Peoria.

This year, a panel of art professionals and the Peoria Arts Commission looked at 65 total submissions. The winning designs represent Peoria’s unique qualities. They were eye catching, and could effectively be transferred to a three-dimensional box wrap.

The intent of the project is to beautify the utility boxes, bring art to otherwise utilitarian surfaces and give artists an opportunity to develop public art experience.

The panel picked the following 19 individuals and their artwork and you can see the wrapped utility boxes at the following locations:
