Two 19-year-old men died Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision on Castle Hot Springs Road just north of State Route 74, Peoria police said.
The crash, which remains under investigation, occurred about 6:20 p.m. April 20 and involved a 2024 Kia Forte and a 2022 Ford F150, police said. Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi, both from India, died in the head-on collision.
Preliminary information indicates F150 was traveling south on Castle Hot Springs Road while the Kia was heading north, police said.
The Ford had one occupant who was taken to a hospital and released.
The Kia Forte had three people inside. The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but has been released. Mukka and Parsi died at the scene.
The area was closed during the investigation but was re-opened for normal traffic at approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
