With the end of the school year fast approaching, Glendale families can turn to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley summer camps to keep busy.
Registration is open for programs designed to help working parents while also offering kids a summer of exploration.
Glendale is home to two Boys & Girls Club branches: the Swift Kids Branch located at 6420 W. Maryland Ave., and the Louis & Elizabeth Sands branch, at 4730 W. Grovers Ave.
Camps, which are open to youth and teens between the ages of 5 and 18, take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays between late May and early August. Program dates can be found at BGCAZ.org.
Clubs align with local school district calendars.
For members ages 5-12, the weekly program cost is $60, $80 or $100 depending on club location. Teens (between 13 and18) can attend for free with an annual membership.
With programs in the arts, sciences, sports and more, summer camp is an engaging way for young people to spend their summer months. Participants can develop relationships with peers and adults while participating in activities that build healthy lifestyles, academic success, and good character and leadership.
A nutritious breakfast and lunch, along with healthy snacks, will be offered to all members.
Registration is open for club members and non-members.
