Bell Road businesses blossom in Glendale

This year the Bell Road corridor has already seen several openings. Here is a list of those openings, plus some other April openings in the city:

Now Open

Earlier this year, Amberlin Arrowhead opened at 17120 N. 51 Ave., in Glendale earlier this year and recently led an open house on April 8, The three-story multi-building 55+ active adult community is set up as a maintenace free and a resort-style community.

Now Open

Hawaiian Brothers recently opened its fourth Arizona store at 7322 W. Bell Road, Glendale. Its menu is an homage to the Hawaiian plate lunch. In the 1880s, as Hawaii’s pineapple and sugar plantations grew, laborers from Asian nations came to the islands. Their lunches typically were a plate of rice and leftover meat from the previous night’s meal.

Now Open

Paris Banh Mi Cafe & Bakery opened earlier this year at 5626 W. Bell Road, Suite 103,, Glendale. This a Florida-based chain of Vietnamese sandwich and coffee shops, made its Arizona debut with this location. The restaurant is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. For information, call 480-687-2528.

Grand Opening Celebration

After opening its Glendale store for service March 30, Off Road Warehouse celebrated its grand opening on April 13 at 5191 W Bell Road. This new location will serve the greater Northwest Valley, including Peoria, Sun City, Goodyear, Tolleson, Youngtown, and El Mirage. The store has wheels and tires, suspension and overlanding upgrades.

Ribbon Cutting

The Glendale Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon cutting at the new location of the The Taco Spot on April 5 at 13971 N. 59th Ave., Suite 200. This was the Valley-based chain’s eighth store opened, though The Taco Spot has since opened another store in North Phoenix.

Coming soon

Steelcase annoounced earlier this year that will build its new location at 5101 N. Cotton Lane in Glendale
A manufacturer of furniture for offices, hospitals, and classroom, Steelcase envisions this building as expanding its footprint in the West Valley by building a 211,360-square-foot at C|303, an industrial development under construction near Loop 303.

Groundbreaking

On April 11 ground was broken for Unity at Glendale, an 105-unit affordable living apartment complex at 4751 W. Glendale Ave.
