Women4Women Tempe receives boost from chamber council

The Tempe Chamber Women in Business Council has selected Women4Women Tempe as the nonprofit it will assist during the 2022-23 fiscal year.

“The Women in Business Council is so excited to support Women4Women Tempe this year. They are having a direct impact on our local community,” said Alison Stine, who chairs the Women in Business Council.

“We believe their mission aligns well with our core values:  growth, collaboration service. We hope to spread the word about their cause and help them to increase the number of homeless and low-income women they impact.”

Women4Women Tempe assists homeless and low-income women in "maintaining their dignity and health" by distributing feminine hygiene products to those in need, a release stated, adding the items are not covered by food stamps.

The Women in Business Council will help with financial contributions, item donations and volunteer service.

The nonprofit has an average of eight packing parties a month consisting of 15-20 volunteers to assemble assistance  bags.

Last year, Women4Women Tempe distributed more than 19,000 bags, according to the release.
