Unofficial results: Tempe school bonds and budget increases

Election results are coming in across Maricopa County and Arizona, including in Tempe. 

In addition to electing new governing board members for the Tempe Union High School District and the Kyrene School District, voters had several bonds and budget considerations on the ballot in 2022. 

At TUHSD, a bond approval, budget override continuation and budget increase were all up for approval. The Tempe Elementary School District had a bond approval on the ballot as well. 

Here are the results as of 6:18 p.m. on Nov. 13:

TUHSD bond approval :

  • 59% yes
  • 41% no

TUHSD budget override continuation:

  • 60% yes
  • 40% no

TUHSD budget increase:

  • 59% yes
  • 41% no

Tempe Elementary bond approval :

  • 64% yes
  • 36% no

Editor’s Note: This story will be updated as ballots are counted by the county Recorder’s Office. Results are not official until they are canvassed.
