The season finale for Free Art Friday will be a morning of fun in the sun and shade on Friday, May 12.

“A Day at the Beach" will allow children and their parents to make ocean-themed art, while live music plays.

There also will be a chance to dig up buried treasure from 9 a.m. until noon at the Edna Arts Courtyard, 3340 S. Rural Road, Tempe.

Bring sun hats, flip-flops and plenty of sunscreen, event organizers advise.

No registration is  required, and there will be light refreshments.
