Tempe residents gaining new East Valley Lou Malnati’s

Chandler location will be its 7th in the Valley

Tempe residents will have a new legendary deep dish pizza place close to its borders as Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook IL, is slated to open their seventh location in the Valley on April 25.

The 1,900-square-foot space will offer carryout and delivery service only, located at 2815 S. Alma School Road in Chandler. The new home is located in Las Tiendas Village in a multi-tenant retail building, adjacent to Sprouts Farmer’s Market, Home Goods and other local favorites.

Local fans can satisfy their craving for Lou Malnati’s award-winning deep dish pizza by choosing curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery and drop off catering services. The menu is highlighted by the legendary deep dish pizza and offers thin crust along with delicious appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts.

The store hours will be Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Lou Malnati’s opened its first restaurant in Phoenix in 2016, followed by locations in Arcadia, Glendale, Mesa, Scottsdale, and most recently Gilbert in December 2021.

Malnati’s will hire approximately 50 local employees and is seeking delivery drivers, kitchen crew and phone staff. The company is now hiring and currently holding interviews at the carryout location.  Interested applicants are asked to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States and a resume, if applicable. Also, qualified candidates may apply online at www.loumalnatis.com/careers or by texting “Lous” to 242424.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in business, Lou Malnati’s currently operates over 70 locations in the Chicagoland area, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Phoenix.

The company looks forward to opening a new location in the greater Phoenix area and expanding its reach with the Arizona natives.  The iconic pizzeria wants to provide a taste of Chicago to the Windy City transplants and local residents in the Southeast Valley.

“Since our first location opened in Arizona, we’ve been welcomed with open arms and are so grateful to our loyal fan base,” said Marc Malnati. “Our team is excited to expand in the Valley and make a home in the city of Chandler. We’re thrilled to bring our authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza to the Chandler neighborhood and become ingrained in the vibrant, diverse and growing community.”
