The city of Tempe, in partnership with Arizona Public Service, Salt River Project and the Tempe Community Action Agency, is offering free energy education workshops to connect residents to resources that can help lower their energy bills and increase home efficiency.
The workshops, available in both English and Spanish, will provide valuable information on utility assistance and discount programs available to residents, a city release explained. APS, SRP and TCAA staff will be on hand to discuss ways to manage energy costs and introduce resources for bill assistance and energy efficiency improvements.
Residents can attend in person or virtually. Sessions, which will take place at the Tempe EnVision Center, are scheduled for:
- Thursday, April 10: Noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.
- Thursday, June 12: Noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.
TCAA will also provide information about its current resources for utility bill assistance and other programs aimed at supporting local families. The workshops are designed to connect residents with the tools they need to reduce energy costs and access support services, according to the release.

If you plan on attending, you can inform the city at tempe.gov/EnergyWorkshop. This helps staff gather language preferences, utility provider information and any specific questions you’d like addressed during the workshop, the release noted.
