Tempe nonprofit hosts children’s health, resource celebration April 12

TCAA will host its Dia del Nino event, its children’s health and resource celebration, on April 12.

Tempe Community Action Agency’s children’s health and resource celebration, Dia del Nino, is happening on Saturday, April 12 at Escalante Park.
Over 20 vendors will be in attendance focusing on health, development and community resources for families enrolled in TCAA’s supportive programs, while kids can enjoy live performances, family-friendly activities, delicious treats, and a scavenger hunt in the community garden with the Easter bunny, according to a press release.
Services that children and families enrolled in TCAA’s HealthStart, Headstart and Tempe Pre-K programs will receive include:
Immunizations, flu shots and sports physicals
Biometrics (blood pressure/glucose testing)
Oral health kits
School supplies
Medicaid information
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Escalante Park, 2150 E. Orange St.
