Amplify Voices, a Tempe/Gilbert-based nonprofit dedicated to elevating stories that inspire social change, recently announced that its documentary, “The Journey,” is now featured on Delta Air Lines' inflight entertainment platform through April 2025.

The documentary is part of Delta’s special programming series on trafficking awareness, aiming to educate and inspire action among travelers worldwide, a press release explained.

“The Journey” sheds light on the harrowing realities of sex trafficking while highlighting the resilience and courage of survivors through poignant storytelling and intimate interviews. It reveals the varied forms of trafficking across the U.S., underscores the resilience of survivors, and showcases the healing power of community and voice, the release detailed.

Created by Ana Pincus, founder of Akhilanda Women’s Foundation and Executive Producer and Director for DOCLAND Films, the documentary is a testament to collaboration and dedication in addressing critical social issues.

Amanda Schneider, executive director of Amplify Voices, said in the release that they are honored that Delta Airlines chose “The Journey” as part of its trafficking awareness series.

“This partnership allows us to bring vital awareness to thousands of passengers globally and to continue our mission of uplifting powerful stories that can inspire empathy and drive meaningful change,” Schneider said.

Travelers flying with Delta Air Lines from January through April can find “The Journey” in the documentary section of the in-flight entertainment menu.

Amplify is offering a series of virtual screenings of the film in January in honor of Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Details can be found at amplifyvoices.org.
