Geeks Night Out will showcase robotics, forensic crime scenes and more on Wednesday at the Tempe Community Complex, 3500 S. Rural Road.

The March 22 event from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. will take place in the parking lot north of the Tempe Public Library and feature more than 60 interactive booths, exhibits and science experiments.

The annual festival “is where you can build and launch rockets, ride an SRP energy bike to power lightbulbs, see things at a nano level with a high-tech microscope and watch Cub Scout Pack 378 race their cars on a Pinewood Derby track,” event organizers said in a release.

Food trucks will be at the event.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the community collaboration between Tempe Elementary School District, Tempe Union High School District, East Valley Institute of Technology, Arizona State University, Rio Salado College, University of Advancing Technology, local businesses, organizations and the city of Tempe.
