Tempe Diablos Charities has extended the application deadline for its new Trade School Scholarship from Jan. 12 to Jan. 19 at midnight.
The group is now offering a new schoholarship, providing a one-time scholarship of $2,000 for students not interested in attending a four-year university or community college.
The Tempe Diablos are involved in promoting excellence among Tempe’s top high school students and helping young adults take steps to improve their opportunities and the communities in which they live, a press release stated.
Each year the Diablos award scholarships to students who plan to attend Arizona State University or a Maricopa County Community College. Since the inception of this program, the Tempe Diablos have awarded approximately $5 million dollars in scholarships and current annual contributions are now at $240,000, the release noted.
