Teen shot Sunday morning near Mill Avenue music venue

A 15-year-old boy was shot early Sunday while inside a car near the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, police said.

The boy, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive, police said.

Authorities were called about 12:30 a.m. June 15 to Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway and learned shots were fired from another car, according to a release.

Police are searching for the suspect car.
