Sozo Healing House, a wellness business and co-working space in South Tempe, recently announced the grand opening of its Refillery Boutique, marking an expansion of its community-focused business model.
The celebration will take place on March 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
This expansion introduces South Tempe's only “refillery” and stands as the area's first Black woman-owned refillery business, a press release explained. A refillery allows for customers to refill their own containers with household and other products.
The new venture represents founder Shaunte Fox's full-time commitment to growing Sozo Healing House's impact in the community, as she transitions from her previous role to focus entirely on expanding the wellness center's offerings.
Fox said in the release that this expansion shows Sozo’s evolution from just a wellness hub to a comprehensive destination for holistic health and sustainable living.
"As the only refillery in our area, we're filling a crucial gap in our community while advancing our mission of supporting both personal and environmental wellness,” Fox said.
Sozo Healing House, established in 2019, has grown from a wellness center housing multiple independent practitioners to becoming a cornerstone of Tempe's small business community, according to the release.
The addition of the Refillery Boutique responds to increasing local demand for sustainable shopping options while reinforcing Sozo's commitment to community-focused entrepreneurship.
