Regional Unity Walk in Tempe to close section of Mill Avenue

Posted

The Regional Unity Walk will require some travel restrictions in Tempe on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Tempe officials said southbound Mill Avenue will be closed between Curry Road and Rio Salado Parkway from 6 p.m. until about 7 p.m.

To find the best parking and access options during that period for businesses along Mill Avenue, the city suggests calling the establishments for information.

City officials said transit services are not expected to be affected by the walk, which is a free festival at Tempe Beach Park, 80 W. Rio Salado Parkway.

The Regional Unity Walk brings in residents from throughout the Valley to “promote mutual respect and understanding,” according to a release.
