Police arrest suspect in Tempe DNC office shootings

A 60-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of attacks on the Democratic National Committee office in Tempe, police said.

The arrest of Jeffrey Michael Kelly was announced Tuesday.

The shootings at the DNC office near Priest Drive and Southern Avenue occurred in September and October. No one was inside the building, and there were no injuries.

According to Tempe police, Kelly faces charges that include two counts of unlawful discharge, two counts of shooting at a non-residential structure, three counts of terrorism act and three counts of criminal damage.

Police will provide more information today, Oct. 23, authorities said.
