Oregano’s reopens downtown Tempe location

Posted

Oregano’s, the popular local neighborhood Italian restaurant, is reopening its downtown Tempe location on July 12.

Oregano’s Downtown Tempe is located at 523 W. University Drive and will offer their full dine-in menu of unique Italian inspired dishes and signature pizzas, according to a news release from the Phoenix-based company.

“The Downtown Tempe location was one of our first to open back in 1997 and helped us establish ourselves as that go-to neighborhood joint,” says Nick Sbordone, Oregano’s Marketing Director, in a statement. “Tempe is in the midst of a huge transformation as more individuals live, work and visit the downtown area and we are so pleased to reopen our doors and give them a familiar place to eat, drink and gather.”

Oregano’s is hiring full-time servers and bartenders for the Tempe location and others across the Valley.

In addition to the reopening in Tempe, Oregano’s is planning to expand by opening another Arizona location. The targeted area is one of the fast-growing locations in the North Valley known as the North Gateway Core. The restaurant is one of several restaurants and retailers that have signed leases to develop a 30-acre parcel along Dove Valley Road east of the I-17.
