Mobile produce truck drives Tempe on Tuesdays

Don’t miss Tempe Tuesdays when the Farm Express Mobile Market visits four locations around the city.

Since its inception, Activate Food Arizona and Farm Express mobile markets have been on a mission to provide better access to healthy, affordable food throughout Arizona, said Elyse Guidas, executive director of Activate Food Arizona.

"We’re grateful to the City of Tempe for working alongside Farm Express to ensure all Tempe residents have access to healthy, affordable foods in their neighborhoods,” she said.

Shoppers can use cash, SNAP/EBT and debit/credit. The market offers a buy one, get one free deal for shoppers using their SNAP/EBT cards: for every dollar spent, shoppers earn another dollar in Double Up Food Bucks to spend on the bus.

Farm Express is for everyone.

"Our team can custom order regionally specific and culturally appropriate produce to meet you and your families’ specific food preferences," said Casey Hopkins, Farm Express program director.

"On top of that, everything on our Farm Express markets is sold at cost without markup," Hopkins said. "Our multiple incentive programs, including Double Up Food Bucks for our SNAP/EBT users, make our mobile markets an excellent community resource for all Tempe residents.”
