Man shot in road rage incident in Tempe

Tempe Police were investigating a possible road rage shooting near Warner Road and Priest Drive on Tuesday.

Around 1 p.m. on July 1, officers responded to a scene of road rage incident where one person was shot between Warner Road and Priest Drive, according to a Tempe Police spokesperson.

Officers found a man with life-threatening injuries and a gunshot wound, according to the spokesperson. 

The other man involved remained at the scene and was detained by Tempe police. Neither man was identified, and officials said there is no outstanding suspect or threat to the public. 

Warner Road is closed between Priest and Commerce Drive until further notice.
