A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for committing break-ins, burglaries and sexual assaults last year in Tempe.

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced that Djimon Boggs also will be required to register as a sexual offender upon his release from jail.

Boggs pleaded guilty last month to counts that included burglary, sexual assault and attempts to commit sexual assault, according to an MCAO release.

On three occasions between September and October, MCAO officials said, Boggs searched a Tempe neighborhood for unlocked homes. Once he entered, he threatened victims and attempted to assault them sexually.

“Two of the victims were able to scream for help; one was sexually assaulted at gunpoint,” the release stated.

Boggs was sentenced to 12.5 years for burglary and 12.5 years for sexual assault to run consecutively. He received lifetime supervised probation for the remaining two counts of attempt to commit sexual assault.
