A 22-year-old woman died Friday night after fighting for her life for more than two weeks following a fire at a mobile home park in Tempe.
Valerie Magana-Gonzalez, 22, died about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 13, according to a Tempe Police Department statement.
The fire occurred on the night of Aug. 25, and Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue and Tempe Police are continuing to investigate the cause and origination of the deadly blaze, authorities said.
Magana-Gonzalez was the last survivor of the fire at Chaparral Village fire near Baseline and Kyrene roads.
Ellany Ruiz, 18 months, and Enrique “Junior” Ruiz, 24, died at a hospital, according to an earlier release.
Two others, Monica Ruiz, 51, and Ariaelly Ruiz, 3, died inside the home in the fire.
Enrique and Valerie were the parents of Ariaelly and Ellany, police said.
