Kiwanis Park to host 1st neighborhood celebration

Family-friendly event on March 26

Posted

Celebrate the best things about your neighborhood at a fun, free event featuring your favorite people - your neighbors. It's time for the Neighborhood Celebration.

The city of Tempe and several Tempe Boards and Commissions, including the Neighborhood Advisory Commission, have collaborated to host this event. Be part of the fun at Kiwanis Park on Saturday, March 26.

The former State of the Neighborhoods event has been transformed into a party with live music, family-friendly DIY art projects and more. Shop at local business booths. Get inspired by some neighborhood leaders who will share how you can host really successful, creative events in your own neighborhood. Plus, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods and the Tempe City Council will be on hand to give away the highly coveted Neighborhood Awards.

"Our neighborhoods are the strong foundation that makes Tempe the wonderful place it is. This is a great chance to see what other neighborhoods are doing to have fun and stay connected while enjoying a beautiful morning at Kiwanis park with your family and friends," said Mayor Corey Woods.
