Craig Krumwiede, president and CEO of Scottsdale-based Harvard Investments, was recently inducted into the Arizona State University W. P. Carey Alumni Hall of Fame.

Established in 1977, the W. P. Carey Alumni Hall of Fame has a rich history of recognizing outstanding alumni for significant contributions to their professions, communities and the W. P. Carey School of Business.

“It’s an honor and privilege to join this distinguished group of ASU alumni and support the continued vision, mission, and values of the W. P. Carey School of Business,” Craig Krumwiede said in a press release.

Krumwiede has been president of Harvard Investments since 1994. Harvard Investments is a real estate development firm in Scottsdale that specializes in master-planned residential communities, as well as office and multifamily developments in the Southwest. He leads the company’s development and investment activities and is responsible for the implementation of the general investment strategy for the company.

Krumwiede holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Juris Doctor degree from ASU. He is a governor in the Urban Land Institute. He is also a past president of the ASU Council for Design Excellence and a member of the Dean’s Council of 100 for W. P. Carey School of Business. He was involved in the inception of the Master of Real Estate Development program at ASU and is a current member of the ASU Real Estate Advisory Board.

Krumwiede has also been named as one of the Top 50 graduates of the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law.

In addition, Krumwiede is a founder of the Tonto Creek Camp, which annually serves 12,000 underprivileged youth in an outdoor STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) camp. He is also a founding member of Social Venture Partners Arizona, which funds and provides expertise to innovative nonprofit organizations and creates educated philanthropists. He is involved in C4 Foundation which supports Navy SEAL families, as well as many other philanthropic endeavors.

“We are proud to recognize Craig Krumwiede as a member of the W. P. Carey Alumni Hall of Fame,” said Ohad Kadan, Charles J. Robel Dean and W. P. Carey Distinguished Chair. “His career achievements speak for themselves, and his tireless commitment to our school and the larger community embody the W. P. Carey spirit of doing good while doing well. Having dedicated alums such as Craig is instrumental for the success of the W. P. Carey School of Business.”

The 2022 W. P. Carey Alumni Hall of Fame event was held at the McCord Hall Concourse on the ASU Tempe campus as a part of ASU Homecoming.
