The Black Chamber of Arizona will host its 26th Anniversary Pinnacle Awards Red-Carpet Masquerade Gala on Friday, Dec. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the PERA Pavilion in Tempe.

This year’s Pinnacle Awards will showcase a lineup of speakers and special guests, setting the stage for an evening of inspiration and celebration, a press release explained. The event will feature celebrity emcee Angela Yee, keynote speaker Ron Busby, president & CEO of the U.S. Black Chamber, and special guest Tempe Mayor Corey Woods.

Guests can look forward to a celebration of leadership, innovation and resilience in Arizona’s Black business community, the release noted.

The night will shine a spotlight on the 2024 corporate honorees for their outstanding contributions to economic empowerment and community development: JPMorgan Chase, Arizona State University, Cox Communications, and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

The masquerade-themed gala will also spotlight seven Black-owned employer firms, whose contributions to Arizona’s economy and culture are truly transformative. Firms to be honored are:

  • Stingley Management - McDonald’s Franchisee
  • Blaylock Van, LLC
  • Battle Protection Agency
  • Inflect Digital
  • Lush Café and Lounge
  • Thinkzilla Consulting Group
  • Comfort Keepers - Chandler

President and CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona Dr. Velma Trayham said in the release that this year’s gala reflects the power of public-private collaboration and the resilience of Arizona’s Black-owned businesses.

“The honorees and presenters exemplify leadership and innovation that contribute to a thriving and inclusive economy,” Trayham said. “We are proud to celebrate their impact and invite the community to join us for this unforgettable event.”
