Beatles tribute show coming to Gammage in Tempe

Posted

Decades after their breakup, the Beatles continue to land records on the charts.

This month Forbes reports that the iconic Liverpool foursome have two tracks inside the top 40 on the charts in the UK, where “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Now and Then” continue to sell. “Now and Then” made headlines in 2023 as the band’s “last song.”

Also, their compilation “1967-1970,” originally released in 1973 after the band split, cracked the Top 50 on the Official Albums Streaming chart. If “1967–1970” manages to stick around on the Official Albums chart for one more stay, Forbes reports, it will hit an important milestone — 104 weeks, or a full two years on the list.

Meanwhile, Rain: A Tribute To The Beatles, is coming to Tempe.

The tribute fan features Steve Landes (vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, harmonica) depicting John Lennon, Paul Curatolo (vocals, bass, piano, guitar) performing as Paul McCartney, Alastar McNeil (vocals, lead guitar) depicting George Harrison, and Dylan Verge (drums, percussion, vocals) performing as Ringo Starr.

Rain will arrive at ASU Gammage for a 7:30 p.m. show Wednesday, April 30.

Tickets range from $20 to $83. Click here for tickets.
