INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
A bicycle advocacy organization has renewed Tempe’s status as a Gold-Level Bicycle Friendly Community.
The designation by the League of American Bicyclists lasts until 2027.
Tempe is one of 45 new and past award recipients this year and joins 506 current Bicycle Friendly Communities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia for 2023.
“As a city, we are committed to improving conditions for bicycling through investment in bicycling promotion, education programs, infrastructure and pro-bicycling policies,” Mayor Corey Woods said.
