Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced that 16-year-old Xavier Padilla and 19-year-old Gabriel Garcia have been indicted by a grand jury for a shooting incident that took place at Arizona Mills Mall in September.

Two have been indicted for a shooting incident in September at Arizona Mills.

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced that 16-year-old Xavier Padilla and 19-year-old Gabriel Garcia have been indicted by a grand jury for a shooting incident that took place at Arizona Mills Mall in September.
A press release explained that both defendants face the following charges:
Four counts of aggravated assault - a class three dangerous felony
Two counts of endangerment - a class six dangerous felony
One count of disorderly conduct - a class six dangerous felony
One count of unlawful discharge of a firearm, a class six dangerous felony
Padilla, a juvenile charged as an adult, faces an additional charge, which is one count of a minor with a firearm - a class six felony.
Their trial is tentatively set for March 2025, according to the release.
