Woman shot in head in Surprise in critical condition

Shooting happened before 11 p.m. Sunday night

A Surprise woman is recovering from a gunshot to the head after an incident Sunday night near North Dysart Road and West Elm Street.

Surprise Police said a 41-year-old woman was found shot in a vehicle just before 11 p.m.

Officers provided life-saving measures to save the woman, and she is now in critical condition at an area hospital.

Police are calling the shooting an isolated incident. They did not release any details on a suspect or any arrests.
