The next art class at WHAM Art Center is an Introduction to Pastels class offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 13 at the gallery, 16560 N. Dysart Road.

This class teaches safe use of pastels, and how to create a texture chart. It also focuses on the steps to creating a pastel painting and ways to use a variety of techniques.

Wear old clothes, or an apron, and bring a mask if you have sensitive lungs.

Bring a large board to work off. Because the final paper will be 12-x-14, an easel is suggested.

Cost is $45. Some supplies will be available but participants should bring photos, one in black and white another in color.

Contact Dede for discount code at dede.robinson@wham-art.org.
