WHAM art center offers program for homeschool students

WHAM Art Center, 16560 N. Dysart Road, finishes its July art classes with the next Photography 101 class is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 17.

It is free for members and $10 for a non-member. This is a beginner class. Learn the basics of a digital camera, the settings on a camera, how to download pictures and what software can be used for improving pictures.

The instructor is photographer David Fudge and Roger Fowler is the assistant instructor. This class has a maximum of 12 students.

  • Home school Art Sessions have been specifically created to help Home school parents fulfill the recommended studies in art. Blended learning studies have become beneficial for students on many levels in diverse educational foundations such as homechool, alternative and charter schooling. Students will experience hands-on arts, art studies, art history, assignments, which include reading; writing and art lessons, painting, drawing, mixed media arts and pastels. Classes are July 14, 21 and 29. Fees are $200 for the entire course - which include classes and August - or $35 per class.
