West Valley Chorale announces 2022-23 performance season

The West Valley Chorale, directed by artistic director Ken Goodenberger, with principal accompanist Christine Kyhn and soloists will open its 39th performance season with two December concerts entitled “Holidays from the British Isles,” featuring John Rutter’s “Magnificat.” The concert will include other holiday favorites from British composers. The winner of the 4th annual Youth Vocal Competition will also perform.
Tickets are on sale through chorale members for a $15 advance purchase or $20 at the door. Students eighteen and younger pay $5. “Will call” tickets may be reserved for $15 atwestvalleychoraleaz.org. Venues include the American Lutheran Church in Sun City, 7 p.m. Dec. 6, and Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.
The season will conclude in March 2023 with two concerts featuring the Mozart Requiem. The American Lutheran Church in Sun City will host the concert March 28 and Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West March 30. This concert will feature professional orchestra and soloists.
The West Valley Chorale is a Surprise 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization comprised of singers from throughout West Valley communities and is supported by season sponsor Sanderson Lincoln, concert sponsor Royal Oaks, advertisers, ticket sales and tax-deductible donations from patrons.
