Surprise is seeking volunteers for its December day of service event.
The community is encouraged to join the city on Saturday, Dec. 14 for two opportunities to give back to the community.
Volunteers can choose to participate at either the Valley View Food Bank, helping to prepare gift donations, or at the Surprise Regional Library, helping to prepare donated socks for distribution to homeless individuals.
Individuals and groups can register for either event at surpriseaz.gov/DOSVolunteer.
