The 14 voices of Brigham Young University’s a cappella groups Noteworthy and Vocal Point will make their debut at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, 1090 S. Vulture Mine Road, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.

Both groups blend harmony, humor and vocal percussion into a showcase that covers rock, pop, country, jazz, R&B and gospel genres. Their vocal range delivers performances with songs including “Holding Out for a Hero,” “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Amazing Grace” and a medley from the “Wicked” soundtrack, to name a few.

In 2007, Noteworthy was crowned champion of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, becoming the second all-female ensemble to win the competition in more than 25 years. Noteworthy has since released eight albums and appeared on NBC’s show “The Sing-Off.”

Vocal Point is BYU’s seven-man ensemble. In 2006, the group took home the title of ICCA, and the following year were voted the nation’s favorite male collegiate a cappella group by CASA.

Tickets for the performance start at $40 for adults and $5 for ages 18 and younger. Call 928-684-6624 or visit dewpac.org.
