The Vanguard Artists Group of the West Valley is planning its annual art show for early 2023.

This year’s event is titled Choose Each Day and will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays from Feb. 1-28 in the WHAM Professional Art Gallery, 16550 N. Dysart Road, Surprise.

The awards reception is open to the public and will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 4. All art will be for sale.

The Vanguard Artists Group was founded in 1977 and consists of professional artists who meet monthly to provide a venue for constructive critique of its members’ artwork. The group leads a yearly art show featuring juried works that highlight the outstanding work being done by local artists.

This art event will be juried by local artist, Yvonne Joyner. She is a long-time resident of Scottsdale with her paintings shown in galleries in Scottsdale, Durango, and Sedona.

Joyner is a Silver Signature member of the Arizona Watercolor Association and a member of Contemporary Watercolorists of AZ. She has won numerous awards and been featured in one-woman shows and exhibitions.
