Those that are pessimistic about the future, and 65% of Americans are, have a session that may be uplifting. Rose Osterman Kleidon, author of “Fantastic News: The World Is Better than Ever,” explores the birth of the modern world, focusing on crucial ways our lives differ hugely from those of the past.

In addition to correcting widespread falsehoods, the presentation shows how essential it is to retain advancements humanity has made and build on them to create a better future.

This session is free and open to the public from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 31 at Unitarian Universalist Church—Surprise. Register via e-mail with “Fantastic” in the subject line to jvlondon@yahoo.com.
